Portrait of Ronnie Wood

Drawing and painting have always been part of my life, I remember my first drawing was a sketch of my favorite cartoons, I was probably eight or nine years old. It was then when I realized that I wanted to be an artist. However my parents could not afford to send me to an art school so I tried to teach myself by copying drawings and paintings from other artists and from books. When growing up, I started to works after school so that I could help my parents with bills etc. so I kind of left aside my dream of becoming an artist.

As an adult I moved to London with my husband and a couple of years ago I sign up into two different art courses, I was very disappointed as I didn’t learn from it at all, the teachers didn’t teach and I wasted the money, nevertheless I keep trying to teach myself by watching videos and reading books also by going to art galleries and try to sketch the painting from the old masters.

I desperately want to improve my skills and have a proper art course and work hard be the artist I always wanted to be. It will be a blessing to win this course!!

Thank you!
Marcela
