Love’s shining Light

I paint under the name Aurora. She is the Goddess of Light and this name has multiple meanings; painting is playing with light and dark and the symbolic meaning is that I wish to bring light into the world through my works of beauty, color and spirit. All my works are oil on canvas.

The images I paint are in the tradition of magical realism with lots of symbolism and the traditional techniques of the old masters. It is a direction in art in which an attempt is made to connect this reality to a higher reality, so hallucinatory images or dream effects occur.

The imagery originate from my deep, intense feelings that want to be portrayed. Everything in the picture is symbolic; the use of color, nature, the posture of the figures, facial expression and clothing. Everything connects the viewer with the wondrous world of spirit.

I have experienced the greatest happiness one can have. The experience where most people search for all their life; I found my other half, my One True Love, my Twin Flame. We finally met in our twenties, after searching for him since early childhood. When I was just a little girl I already knew what he looked like.

Just by being together we created Heaven on earth. Then we married and we had to part after too little years; my Eternal Beloved fell ill of cancer and he passed away in my arms.

This painting is the moment we met, my Beloved saw a beam of light come down from heaven to shine upon me. This is how he recognized me.

My work consists of our amazing Journey. It is an ode to my Beloved. I discovered that not even death diminished this True Eternal Love.
