Lone Wolf
Artwork by Elizabeth Carmo
Drawing has always been on my mind… But I had no confidence and felt intimidated when I picked up pencil and paper. I am a farm wife and allowed myself every excuse to put it aside. Raising my family and farm work took all my attention. A few years ago, now in my fifty’s, someone gave my a copy of “Drawing On The Right Side If The Brain” it gave me some skills to build on, I felt so empowered!
Even though I life an isolated rural life, (and love it) I have found resources on my own to continue my progress. The Internet it a great help.
I love the human form and draw people I love, sometimes from old photos like this one I submitted.. my father in law in the late fifty’s. The photo was terrible but I loved the light and shadow as it hit his face and cast shadows across his body.
And so here i am taking a chance and putting my self out there.
