Drawings in Charcoal
Artworks by Richard E Salazar II, Drawing Academy student
Hello and thank you for the Drawing Academy course.
As a child I dreamed of being an artist, but as I approached adulthood more and more people advised against it. I dismissed my dreams as unrealistic and put my sights on a “real” job. After that I rarely picked up a pencil to even doodle. 20 years later I found myself a stay-at-home dad with an opportunity to give art another try. I knew if I ever wanted to be a successful artist I needed to know how to draw.
I’m so glad I found your course. I admit, with the little free time I have, it took me over a year to complete it and I will most likely be going over the entire course again soon to understand the concepts better.
I am now enrolled in the Old Masters Academy and looking forward to learning how to paint in oils.
Thank you,
Richard
