I started drawing again this spring after not drawing at all for about 35 years.

I was never taught the classical drawing method and have just subscribed to the Drawing Academy course. I used three silver pitchers to practice perspective and the constructive drawing technique presented in the first few lessons of the course.

This drawing is done with charcoal pencil on toned pastel paper. In order to make the background a really dark black, I used a compressed charcoal stick and did some smudging with a finger or felt.
