Congratulation to the Drawing Academy Survey winner!

Since I was a child the drawing came first, I loved to draw in my notebooks. As I grew, critiques of my art made me feel like if I wasn’t good at it. So I quit drawing, and began practicing music.

After 8 years of abstinence of making drawings, I really wanted to draw again. One of my teachers in the class of Musical appreciation said: “When you study art, music, painting, dance, acting, you must not get married to the art you are doing, you must enroll in other arts because in that way, you can learn so many new things to complement your studies and become a better artist.”

So I took his advice and started looking for drawing courses on the Web. That is when I found the Drawing Academy. I enjoyed Drawing Academy free video lessons tremendously. Also, I really like the information in Academy Newsletters. This makes me feel really good and I practice drawing with a lot of joy.

When I read the article “Is it possible to learn art online?” I received the answer I was looking for and decided that I must enroll in the Drawing Academy.

I don’t have necessary funds to pay for the course, so when I saw an email with the subject “We give away one membership – It can be yours” I felt so thrilled that jumped to the computer answering all survey questions.

Another thing that convinced me was that in the free lesson “How to draw a model” the instructor says, “When you started to speak you made a bunch of mistakes, but you kept practicing until you were good at it. The same thing is with drawing.”

The question I had was “How can I become a better artist and improve my drawing skills by studying the great masters and their history?”

In the first place, I want to learn how to appreciate all the elements that compound the art of drawing, secondly, I want to see with critical eyes and understand the works of the Old Masters, and the last but not less important, learn how to draw from a simple line to the most complex art of a human body.

I hope I can get this membership to keep learning more and more every day.
