It makes a tear
I was raised on a farm with a barn just about like this. W played in the hay loft, milked cow by hand and cleaned the gutters. Don’t ever say those poor animals, we kept them old girls in good shape.

Loved your first picture, liked the colours which added to the atmosphere.
I had donkeys for a long time, my stable needed renovating at first but my donkeys didn’t suffer because of it. They were loved, well fed, exercised and entertained. Your horse, (or is it a donkey with short ears ) has a cover over its head and a look-out post. I am sure you looked after it. Anyway, the pictures are nostalgic Gordon.
