Art Games – Combining two creative worlds

Hi, my name is Robert Wisse.

I have been working as an IT developer for more than 20 years, as I noticed that I was missing a certain creativity in my work and life. Two years ago I started a new business: manufacturing customizable classic card and board games. Due to my strong interest in art, my vision is, to use my business in the field of art and give artists a possibility to present their art via my games.

I will be setting up an online platform for contemporary art games soon. But this isn’t the reason I am applying to this contest. I love fine art since my childhood and made many drawings as a small boy. Unfortunately I never touched a pencil anymore until a few month ago. I have this very strong desire to start drawing again and my ultimate wish would be to bring my skills on to a level, that people like it and I can start making unique and very limited art games with my own art.

The drawings I made until now are based on copying photographs and paintings. Now I want to really learn how to draw so that I can unfold my inner creativity and feelings. The drawing academy seems to be the right place for me! I would be delighted to win this contest!
