Hello! My name is Seth.

It took me a while to figure out what I really wanted to pursue in life as far as a career choice. I discovered I loved to draw and paint and create characters and stories with my pictures.

While I was in grade school, I did not take my love for these things seriously because I had no idea this could actually be a career so it was more of a hobby. Only a couple years ago did I finally decide I wanted to get into illustration and/ or visual development for games and movies.

Over the last couple years I have taken a few fundamentals drawing and design courses, however not nearly as many as I would like. Aside from that, I have watched a ton of you-tube drawing/painting tutorials and bought gumroad tutorials and a couple dozen anatomy, painting, and how-to-draw books to gain the knowledge I have.

I am at the point where I feel that self-studying, although being very helpful, has slowed down my learning process. I never know if how I am studying or what I am studying is the right thing. I feel like I am bouncing around trying to study/learn everything at once and not really making any noticeable improvement anywhere. That said, I am hoping that a more structured learning environment/schedule created by professional artists will get me back in the game, where I can actually feel like I am progressing, and not trying to reinvent the wheel every time I start a new piece of artwork.

Most of my artwork is created digitally using Photoshop. The fundamentals courses I took were so I could improve my traditional drawing skills which would improve my digital artwork. I still feel I need a lot more traditional fundamentals studies and I am sure I can learn so much from Drawing Academy.

You would REALLY benefit from the Drawing Academy course and I strongly recommend purchasing the program and sticking with it. You have a great imagination but I feel it would be best for you to learn the basic drawing skills if you want to go to the next level. I am a graduate of the program and paid for the course after spending $18,000 on art school. I got more from the Drawing Academy program than I ever got in two years of art college for a whole heap of money!
