A burning desire to learn drawing

Dear Mr. Vladimir London,

I write to you to introduce myself and to ask a question about the Drawing Academy Course.

First off, let me start by saying how impressed I am with the approach you have towards drawing.

I think, in any skill, there is no better way to learn than from the masters; the proven and tested ways.

My name is Cedric. I am from South Africa, I have no formal training in art. I see myself as an absolute beginner in drawing. I did have technical drawing at school, though, and enjoyed that very much.

I feel a need to have an artistic outlet, which, combined with the technicality of drawing, seems very appealing to me. I find drawing very relaxing and a mentally healing exercise.

I literally woke up on the morning of the 20th of August 2014, bought myself some pencils, and started drawing. I found a burning desire and interest to learn more and to draw more. I felt like drawing from photos was copying right from the start, and that there must be more to it. I asked myself, “How do I capture the people and images in my mind, on paper?”

My question is, do I need to complete the course in 3 months, or can I work at my own pace (let’s say 6 months), as I work very long hours as an IT technician and I am afraid of disappointment in a 3 month time frame as I will not manage to keep the schedule?
