Hello!
My name is Em and some of my earliest memories are of me drawing and painting. It has always been a way for me to process my emotions and express my personality. About 5 years ago, I decided that I wanted to take art as my career and so I started to study more seriously. I worked under an internationally awarded artist for 4 of those years and then tried to take on the art world by myself. There I got insulted and humiliated by an artist that I had idolized. It made me want to quit art altogether; however, I am trying to use it as more motivation to push myself even harder and show all those people wrong, especially that artist. I find that I struggle with outward acceptance with my art the most. I find that I just want others to like my work, rather than being content with my own artwork. I want to learn figures better. I can do portraits, but I wish to be able to accurately do entire portraits.
I have always admired Drawing Academy. It is something I have wanted to do for a while now, but was always just out of my price range. I love how in depth they go and how they will offer both lessons and critiques on anything you are currently working on or struggling with.
I wish to win the Drawing Academy course because I want to better myself as an artist. I hope that one day I can use the knowledge I have gathered over the years and be one of the masters that teaches and inspires young artists. People should vote for me because not only are you doing this for me, but I plan on using these skills and lessons I get from Drawing Academy to better the future great artists of the world.
