Artwork and story from Val
Art has my heart, soul and focus and not much else appeals to me in such a deep and meaningful way. It’s my passion and my destiny.
I’m challenged by wanting to learn all the techniques at once and I realize that there is a time for each step in my progress. Some lessons require intense focus, while others I can breeze through and sail. Reaching the level of mastery of capturing the arabesque has become my number one goal in my development as an artist.
I want to learn as many Old Master (Raphael, Da Vinci) and other drawing techniques as I can in a lifetime. I’m so inspired by many, many artists Leonard da Vinci, Monet, Turner, Sargent, Robert Henri, and hundreds more. You can read about artists all day and still have many things to learn throughout your lifetime as an artist. I strive for excellence and plan to achieve it.
Drawing Academy turns inspiring artists into actualized, true professional artists. The program excels and has the most qualified and skilled instructor possible. They excel in their sharpened and exquisite skill level and mastery, while also having the patience and strong interest in instructing others how to produced beautiful art, at the level of mastery.
Winning the Drawing Academy would honor the legacy of my mother as a highly creative artist, whether it be rendering and expressing in textile art or in pastel. My grand nieces and nephew have followed in suit with the strong legacy in the visual arts.
I’ve watched many of the complimentary videos Vladimir London posted about drawing techniques and drawing styles. His knowledge impresses me and I would love to master drawing just the way he has. His work looks effortless, yet I know, it takes many years and thousands of skills and decisions to render a simple work of drawing that comes from the heart and soul of the artist.
There are many reasons to vote for me to attend Drawing Academy. The main reason is that art is my life.
