Experience and Contributions in the Arts and Performing Arts

I have been an artist for most of my life.

I am currently working on writing and illustrating for books.

In high school I was invited to be in the advanced art classes. I learned drawing, sculpture, pottery, painting, print making, and figure drawing. We used mediums such as graphite pencil, pastel, charcoal, colored pencil, paint, stone, engraving tools, and clay.

I also won a local art competition with a portrait drawing that I made.

I have children and teach them art. They have learned methods with traditional mediums. They have digital art projects in 2D and 3D animation, 3D modeling, and making art for video games. They also learn coding for animation, games, and apps.

I have taught art classes in the local community and online, for children and teens.

I went to art school at a college and a university. I have studied a variety of skills in school and independently. These studies include fine art, sewing, pattern making, embroidery, fashion design, fashion illustration, jewelry and accessory design, retail store design and marketing, book making, paper making, mixed media art, print making, digital art, and illustration. I have learned some 3D modeling and animation. I also have some performing arts experience in choir, solo singing, piano, tumbling, and dance. I will refer more to why the performing arts are relevant here.

Even though I studied at these art schools, and have found other resources to learn from, I would like further instruction in the refined methods that these resources do not teach. This is the way for me to make progress in my work at this time.

I would like learn more fundamental and advanced knowledge of composition, design, drawing and painting.

I aspire to use what I learn to become more skilled, and make high quality works of art. I have some plans for my work that I would like to pursue in the near future.

I have searched for classes and have found that this Old Masters Academy will help me with what I need to continue my education.

I would appreciate your support in helping me to enroll in these classes, and further my education in the arts.

This will also assist me to continue supporting other arts endeavors, as my family has been in the performing arts for years.

The performing arts use many skills such as costume design, composition, choreography, painting, makeup art, accessory design, creating props, backgrounds, scenery, lighting, music, writing, communication, expression, and dialogue.

My children have participated in dance performances and competitions, tumbling, theater and musical theater, singing, choir, piano, and martial arts. They have performed at major theaters, schools, and venues in the local area, as well as a well-known theme park in California.

I have been a class assistant, costume assistant, makeup assistant, teacher, back stage helper, and had several other jobs.

All of these take time and resources. I would like to help support my family, and our fellow artists and performing artists, as we continue these activities. The arts enhance the community where we live, as well as any place we are able to participate. I can continue to support the arts by using my skills for professional work and an art career.

Writing and illustrating books is one of the things I am pursuing for my goals. This is one reason why I am continuing my art education.
