TENDERNESS

TENDERNESS

Artwork by Carol GRACE de SOFIA

I have always drawn or painted off and on throughout my life. I am self-instructed, from books, observing works of art, watching tutorials in the internet, asking questions here and there.

Almost 60 years later, the same “bubbling” remains inside my belly!

And fortunate enough, I found the DRAWING ACADEMY in the web! I am absolutely delighted about the quality of its presentations, both in videos and texts…

And after uncountable attempts of trial and error in my art experience, with endless times of deep frustration and never being able to study or even get any feedback and feeling absolutely stuck in my progress, I decided to try and apply what I began to “devour” from the DRAWING ACADEMY presentations.

Allow me to participate with my last work, TENDERNESS, drawn after some quick hints given on drawing in red pencil. Mine is on toned aquarelle paper done with Derwent Drawing Sanguine Pencil. (23cmx25cm)

Comparing to other drawings of mine, I see quite a difference, from linear flat drawing on to constructive layer drawing in sanguine…..

And that, achieved only from the “crumbs” of the DRAWING ACADEMY’S table through the presentations! I can’t imagine what it would be after taking the course, and what’s more, the top feedback from the tutors!!

TENDERNESS

CONGRATULATIONS to the DRAWING ACADEMY!! and THANK YOU FOR YOUR QUALITY SHARING!!
