I am a very happy person when I’m focused on drawing, painting or learning how to improve my artwork. I receive great satisfaction sharing my work and teaching what knowledge I’ve gained through books, online tutorials and artist friends. I wasn’t fortunate to have formal training so I’m always searching for instructional videos and books that could help me and open my eyes to another way.

Art is my life my breakfast, lunch and dinner. I would be lost without it. I’m very thankful to have friends who are artists who I can relate to and share with. I enjoy teaching children how to draw and paint and love when they notice how wonderful they can be.

I’ve always challenged myself during my journey through the creative process. Choosing complicated subjects to draw and paint was always my goal. I’ve come to love portraiture and the human body so much that it’s become my main focus and I’m constantly looking for methods to help me improve. The hands and feet are a bit daunting and I find them to be my biggest challenge at the moment.

I think the Drawing Academy has all the answers any struggling artist would want to become the artist they dream to be. My hope to win this contest and learn everything the Academy has to offer so I can share my improvement to the world and pass on my knowledge of art to the children.
