Dreams worth fighting for

My name is Nicole Elliott. I am age 18 and a recent high school graduate with great aspirations! Since I was VERY little I have been obsessed with art. I got my first full time position illustrating a children’s book two years ago, when I was sixteen, and have since worked and AM working for several clients all over the world. I do not say this to boast or because I think I am ‘oh-so-great’! ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! These projects have revealed so much that I need to work on and improve. But I have been so fortunate to be a part of each one and I am ALWAYS striving to grow and learn! Perfection is always just out of reach.

Art is not only my passion, it is my profession and vice versa. But, as with everything that is worth pursuing, there are challenges that I face. I often struggle putting all the pieces of the human figure together to create one finished life-like person on paper. I can do faces, and heads, hands, feet, legs, torsos… but to put them all together proportionally poses quite a challenge for me. I do not want to shy away from the human figure as it is such an interesting and compelling subject, but I currently lack the skills to represent it properly.

I think Drawing Academy is a brilliant program with so much to offer and so much wisdom that I could reap from! I would be honored and so blessed to have the privilege to work through the full course! That is the reason I would like to win! It is always a great opportunity to enter in competitions, but with such a beneficial prize?!?! How could I not at least TRY to win this incredible course!
