Sharing Vulnerability
I have worked in various professions since leaving school but only recently made the decision to return to being a creative in the visual arts field.
Art comes in many forms and encompasses varied tastes but for me it’s all about colour. Home decor can set a mood depending on the colour choices but wall art truly expresses a personality and invokes particular feelings. I’m drawn to pieces that capture a moment, an emotion, or a dream, and I aspire to inspire feelings with my artwork.
We all lack motivation sometimes so I look for inspiration to nudge me forward. A day out visiting a gallery can blow away the cobwebs of self-doubt and procrastination. After such an excursion I always determine to knuckle down and revisit unfinished artwork but the outcome is inevitably dictated by life’s other distractions and responsibilities.
There is so much to learn regarding art, from techniques to media. I’ll settle for making my ideas a reality which catch someones eye.
I find the Drawing Academy is a very comprehensive resource where artists can access informative tutorials and tips all in one place.
Study courses are a good motivational tool as well as a learning curve. Winning the Drawing Academy course would expand my creativity.
It’s nice to sell your artwork and it’s nice to win something but I would only vote for art I like and would find it strange if others were any different in that respect.
