Hello,
My name is Neil and I’m 45 years old. I never knew I would develop a passion for drawing, until I saw it through my daughter’s eyes. I have been a student of the Drawing Academy since December 2015. I was of course skeptical taking an online art course, but Academy tutors have keep me on course, consistently provided me support, and encouragement at what always seems to be the right moment.
Art has taken a special place in my life. It has given me a sense of peace and the ability to be present and focused on the “here and now” which had not been realized till now. Although the learning curve has been challenging at times, it still feeds my soul.
My challenges in art come from figure drawings, which I feel is my next progressing. Mr. London always suggests drawing from life, so I enrolled in a live figure drawing class. Although I’ve seen improvements, the class lacks the tutelage of the Drawing Academy, which I’ve come accustomed to.
Thanks to the Drawing Academy, the development of classic art skills past on from the old masters, seems obtainable. Now I want to enroll in the Anatomy Master Class to further develop my figure drawing.
