I am a 46 year old full time administrative assistant and part-time lover of art.
I long to create art while I am sitting at my desk working and think about it all of the time. I get home, take care of the family and it seems art always takes a back seat. Well, I say no more. I want my dream to become a reality of being able to create.
After high school, I got accepted to the Art Institutes and did not attend since finances did not allow. That is something I will always regret.
When I was younger, I drew all the time, pictures of fashion models from magazines, ads that attracted my attention and anything and everything I could find. When I got a little older, my drawing skills waxed and waned.
I want to learn to see better and put what I see on my paper. I want to learn as much as I can about drawing and be able to draw anything.
I think the Drawing Academy is a course I can really get involved with. Community among artists is very important and I think I can get that from the Drawing Academy.
I want to win because I believe this course will put me on the path to better art. Most of the time, I use a lightbox to trace and I want to be able to actually draw.
As a mom with two teenagers, finances are a little tight and voting for me will help to fulfill a life-long dream of being an artist.
