Paraprofessional discovers artistic talent
Art is everything to me. As a paraprofessional, I’ve worked in the art classroom at a local middle school for the past two years. I learned as much as the students and discovered artistic talents I never knew I had. Art has totally taken over and now with an art studio in my basement, I am able to go to my happy place when I can.
The biggest challenge for me is to find time to do my art, but sometimes I work on it late at night to get my “fix.” I want to create 24 hours a day! I want to learn everything in art and am basically self-taught besides my middle school education. I paint, draw, and also do an assortment of crafts. I always have a project in the works.
I love Drawing Academy. I’ve been told I have natural talent and an eye for drawing. I want to learn and practice more. When I looked at the list of things I could learn, I was so excited.
Drawing Academy is definitely for me. The art teacher that worked in the middle school art class taught us how to do portraits and I regularly work on that skill. But I want to learn so much more. People should vote for me because I discovered artistic talent late in life, I work with children in the art room and I can use my skills to help others.
The painting I’m enclosing is the clipboards a teacher asked me to paint for her classroom this year. On one side is a quote. On the other side is a picture I painted to go with the quote. I started something because now I have people asking me to paint clipboards for them!
Art is so much fun and rewarding. Vote for me – a paraprofessional that works with middle-schoolers!
