Collecting My Marbles

Collecting My Marbles

Artwork by Sarah Punz

Inspired to portray what words fail to communicate, I turn to the fresh pages of my sketchbook, knowing that there are no boundaries to my visions.

I’m a 16 year old high school student from Canada, and I dream of pursuing a professional career as an artist. My passion for art has been present since my early childhood and continues to shape the person that I am to this day. Other than attending my regular high school art classes, I have no further formal training, but I am driven to practice every day and learn new techniques on my own.

Interested in art history and traditional methods, I see the opportunity to learn from the Drawing Academy, and use its platform to connect with experienced and inspiring artists. I’m eager to study new techniques so that I can begin to create more intrinsic pieces that others can relate to on a personal level.

We feel many emotions that words cannot describe, but art is an expression of new found feelings to heightened senses – art nourishes the colourless soul.

Sarah has an artistic talent. Look at the marbles and the fallen glass. They reflect on something an art beyond. Very marvelous.
