Trying to find my niche!

Life moves fast. One moment I was in high school not realizing the opportunities and meaning of pursuing my dream. The next thing I knew, I was a mom of a 20-year-old son, a ranch wife and a business owner. As life would have it, I had the opportunity to take a single drawing class at a local college and the spark that had once been lit was once again on fire! I feel I have something to say or show and my skills are not yet honed enough to express myself as I want! I would like to leave a legacy – something that means something to someone.

My challenges are perspective, patience and lack of belief in myself/abilities. I would like to learn how to defeat this pile of obstacles and become a confident pencil artist to capture the western cattle ranch life that I live on and show it to the world.

What do I think about the Drawing Academy? I think it is an incredible chance for a person like me who will be living hours away from the nearest “big” city in Montana to get a top notch exposure to quality art education.

As we are buying a ranch currently, our expenses will prohibit me from spending much on non-necessities. This may be the only way for me to learn for years.

Why would people vote for me? At this stage in my life, I have the time to devote to my dream and I want them to be able to say, “Hey – see that work there? I voted for that artist when she was just beginning!”
