Beloved daughter

I am Cheryl Davis, a mother of one girl who is now nine. I am very keen on learning to draw and have gone from stick people to being able to draw what I see only and even then not always very well. So I was especially proud of this drawing.

My art challenges are that I have never been able to draw, but went from stick people and five year old art to being able to do a reasonable drawing of things from a photograph. I would love to be able to draw anything. To be able to do fine art would be fantastic. Right now I lack perspective and depth, knowing how to depict objects that actually resemble them and not just a squashed mess.

I love the Drawing Academy, of all the different courses, this is the one that makes you want to draw and draw well. I would like to draw all kinds of things.

Winning the Drawing Academy course would be a major boost to my confidence, but more than that, I would not walk away, I would apply myself and study hard, taking as long as is needed to become a proper artist.

Please vote for me, because my aim is to produce affordable art that can be enjoyed by those who have not got a lot of money, I will share the skills that I learn by helping children in my local school community and those in the area that I live. It will not be just for me, but I will help others too.
