Beauty As We Know It

Do you know how it feels when people underestimate what you can really do? If you have, then you understand exactly why I want to win the Drawing Academy course.

My name is Akaylah Abdul-Ali and I am an artist. I use mixed media, such as: pastel, acrylic, oil, water color, marker and color pencil.

Art is the most influential part of my life, people have told me time and time again that the art industry is harsh and competitive. I just want to make it where people have told me I can’t.

With art, I have challenges staying focused and showing people that my voice is one that can be heard.

I would like to learn how to make my voice heard, that is why I think the Drawing Academy course is the right choice for me.

My whole life has been full of rejection and disappointment, I hope you see this as a chance to change my life for the better. This is why I believe I should be voted for.

With art, I learn that we can make life more beautiful day by day and I hope you feel the same.
